Foghat’s New Album, Tour, and Wine?!
Blues rockers, Foghat, are gearing up for a new album, upcoming tour, and a Foghat wine release. The new record, “Last Train Home” is set for release next month. As of now, details of the accompanying tour have yet to be announced. The band has assured fans that it will kick off some time in 2010.
Over the years, Foghat has branched out on other ventures, keeping up with the changes in technology and music, releasing an iPhone App and contributing to video games, such as Guitar Hero. The rockers have also have their very own Foghat wine!
The band got into winemaking by accident. They were approached by longtime Foghat fan and California winemaker, Steve Rasmussen, asking them if they would be interested in making a Foghat wine? The first Foghat wine was a 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon; only 90 cases were produced. This June, the boys are happy to release their 2008 Chardonnay, producing 290 cases. They were involved in the whole winemaking process including harvesting the grapes & crushing them. It was so much fun, the band has ambitious thoughts of making Foghat tequila next!
